We were being told by a lot of Americans to be careful going to Istanbul. We got nervous when we first arrived at our hotel and saw metal detectors. We even saw metal detectors in subways, malls, tourist attractions, and even some grocery stores. Also, what is up with all the bald men wearing white head bands with bloody scalps?
